About Us

Mr. Manash P. Barua established HD Consortium India in 1993. Mr. Barua has several years of experience in sales, distribution and service of medical and laboratory equipment.

Apart from selling equipment manufactured by Nova Biomedical Corp., Melet Schloesing Laboratories, and BioCare Corporation, HD Consortium sells consumables for equipment from these companies. Consumables required for the instruments, we sell, are available from the equipment manufacturers only. A significant portion of HD Consortium’s revenue originates from the sale of consumables.

HD Consortium India has a total personnel strength of 55 people. Our staff comprises of highly dedicated people who take care of our sales and maintenance tasks. Our sales staffs have their educational background and degrees in Business Management, while our service engineers have specialized in Electronic Engineering and Biomedical Engineering.

HD Consortium India has branch offices in Chandigarh, Guwahati, Kolkata, and Lucknow. We have resident engineers in Indore, Jaipur, Ludhiana, and Meerut. Our dedicated service engineers in conjunction with our sales team have been instrumental in providing an uptime of more than 95% for instruments that we have supplied to our clients. In contrast, our competitors, including multi-national companies, experience difficulty in reaching an uptime of 80% for the equipments they supply. HD Consortium India has not only built a solid reputation in the field of critical care equipment, but has become the reference for post-sales service.

We have installed and maintained equipment in several reputed hospitals. Some of our clients include Escorts Heart Institute, Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana, AIIMS, New Delhi, and PGI, Chandigarh. We have installed around 300 equipment and we maintain these machines via service contracts. In addition, we supply consumables required by the instruments.
